Jo Ham is an accomplished artist and illustrator, known best for her characterful rabbit designs. Having graduated from The Ruskin School of Art, Jo went on to develop a career within a bustling creative studio until four years later, a trip to the doctor changed everything and she was diagnosed with a rare head and neck cancer.
During her recovery, she sought solace in her sketchbook, capturing the joy of the everyday through the eyes of a Rabbit. This social commentary continued once she returned to work and, with illustrations flowing, she decided to take the plunge and quit her job. One year later HAM was born.
HAM has gone from strength to strength and since attracted the attention of retailers, galleries and press around the world. The series continues to follow Rabbit’s contented life - his daily adventures, sporting escapades and social outings - all in an iconic silhouette form with a minimal aesthetic that adds a serious edge to its playful subject matter. HAM has exhibited in London, Paris and New York and collaborated with major brands such as Moncler, Body Shop, Mini, west elm and Topshop
The last twelve months have been an exciting time for HAM with Jo winning two awards for her work: NatWest’s UK Creative Industries Entrepreneur of The Year and Aviva’s Arts and Culture Woman Of The Year.
